Introduction
Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is an important component of cancer treatments, yet most standard health insurance policies do not cover regimens considered to be complementary or alternative. Consequently, many patients must forgo potentially beneficial treatments because they cannot afford them.
In order to help patients in financial need gain access to these treatments, the Health Partners, Inc., a non-profit group of the Center for Integrative Medicine, has established the CAM Cancer Treatment Fund. To enable the Fund to benefit the many patients in need who come to the Center for treatment, we are seeking donations from communities, businesses, and individuals.
