Rabbi Tamara Miller was ordained by the Academy for Jewish Religion in New York City in 1995. Rabbi Miller earned a bachelor's degree in English from the City College of New York, and she received a Master's degree in Communication from Syracuse University in 1972. Rabbi Miller was trained as a hospital chaplain at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Wesley Community Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina and Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington. After a decade in congregational work on the east and west coasts, she settled in Washington DC where she was the Director of Spiritual Care at GWU hospital for eight years.

Rabbi Tamara Miller is an innovative contemporary conveyor of spiritual wisdom and guidance. Her teachings have been multi-faith and multi-faceted. Her experience and exposure have spanned spiritual communities across America. Rabbi Miller has counseled patients and families dealing with difficult diagnoses,loss and grief transitions,end of life choices,spiritual and emotional crises. When faced with physical or emotional challenges, Rabbi Miller offers insights and resources in a holy context for those struggling with the existential queries of our everyday lives.
