David, ND, MS, MSOM, LAc is a board certified and licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Chinese Medicine Practitioner, including Acupuncture. At the George Washington Center for Integrative Medicine she sees and treats patients of all conditions and ages, with holistic medicine. She has a special interest in dermatology and treats most skin conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, shingles, hives, infections, many others) by determining and addressing the cause of the condition, rather than just treating the symptom. Dr. David also has extensive experience holistically treating the following conditions: Allergy/ Asthma Digestive ailments Cardiovascular disease Fatigue Stress- related conditions Wellness programs for Optimal Health Pediatric conditions Pain Osteoporosis Autoimmune Conditions Arthritis Infections Dr. David has a growing interest in pediatrics and commonly sees infants, toddlers, adolescents and teenagers with such ailments as infections, rashes, eczema, ADHD, digestive issues and acne. Typical treatments may include nutritional education (whole food-based diet and supplements), eastern and western herbal medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, moxibustion, Qi gong, exercise counseling and cleansing programs. Dr. David became very interested in natural medicine while employed by a large medical/ surgical device manufacturer. Today, although she is still awed by modern medical technology and life-saving acute care treatment, she believes that there exists a great need for holistic and preventative systems of health care, treating the root cause of the condition and educating the patient on how he or she can improve and optimize health and well-being. Dr. David attended the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR, completing the six-year program and internship in Naturopathic Medicine and Classical Chinese Medicine. NCNM is the oldest accredited naturopathic college of the four colleges in existence in the United States, and is well known for having exceptional clinical training and an outstanding classical Chinese medicine program. Prior to medical school, Dr. David earned an MS in Physiology, with concentrations in Cardiovascular disease, Endocrinology, Metabolism and Exercise Science at Oregon State University. Dr. David also conducted clinical research at the OSU Endocrine & Metabolism Lab and taught physiology to undergraduates. To further her Chinese medicine practice, Dr. David spent a month in China practicing Qi gong (a martial arts/meditation practice) and studying classical Chinese medicine theory.
