Dr. Huang studied acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Nantong Medical College in China, a century-old curriculum offering both Chinese and Western medicine. Dr. Huang furthered his studies by earning a PhD from the Shanghai Brain Institute. He came to the United States in 1990 and served as a faculty member in the Department of Anatomy at the University of Virginia (1990-1992) and the George Washington University Medical School (1992-2002). In addition to being a board certified and licensed acupuncturist, he is also skilled in herbal medicine, accupressure, tui na (Chinese acupoint massage), moxibustion, qi gong and Chinese calligraphy. He applies his varied skills to treat chronic pain, infertility, hormone imbalance, stress, anxiety, depression, stroke and a myraid of other difficult clinical conditions.
