Dr. Korytnyk earned her doctorate in clinical psychology in 1989 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and also completed two years of training in psychoanalysis. She was the chief psychologist for Inpatient Psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and served as staff psychologist at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. She currently teaches at the George Washington University Medical Center as Assistant Clinical Professor while also maintaing her own private practice. Dr. Korytnyk functions as a special consultant at the Center for Integrative Medicine where she provides individual and couples therapy treating: depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, career/work concerns, weight management, copingwith medical illness, grief/loss, and stress management.
